“Treat yourself with… Thessaloniki”: Whatever the problem, Thessaloniki is the solution

The Thessaloniki Tourism Organisation is celebrating World Tourism Day with a fresh video.

With the message “Treat yourself with… Thessaloniki” and plenty of humour, the Organisation projects the character of the city and the authentic temperament of its inhabitants.

Thessaloniki is a large city with a rich cultural heritage, capital of gastronomy recognised by UNESCO, which never “sleeps”!

World Tourism Day is celebrated every year on September 27th, with celebrations organised by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO).

The purpose is to raise awareness of the global community for the value of tourism in the field of society, culture, politics and economy, but also to highlight its contribution to achieving the goals of sustainable development.

The President of the Organisation, Voula Patoulidou said: “True to our appointment, we participate in the World Tourism Day with a new production. We listen to people’s need to escape, to escape, to ‘heal the wounds’ that have been created. Thessaloniki is the city in which you can forget and be forgotten! We thank the State Theatre of Northern Greece for the kind presence of its actors and all those who participated.”
