DOCUMENTARY MONDAYS 2021 – 8th March – 3rd May 2021
In continuance of last year’s successful documentary series, the Czech Centre is proud to announce their new series to be shown on Mondays, selecting five new films, which through their network will travel around the world.
This year’s screenings are special, as films are presented exclusively by women – directors, who belong to the top of the Czech documentary production today. They symbolically chose Women’s Day (March 8th) as the start date of the screenings. Key film selection criteria: current events, innovative and experimental film format and social impact. Topics: vaccination, political situation in modern Hungary, unforeseen adversity of life, monogamous coexistence, working environment.
- viewing frequency: 1 movie per 14 days with Greek subtitles
- always Monday for 24 hours (midnight to midnight)
- free on daffilms platform (https://dafilms.com/)
A Q&A with each director will be available alongside the screenings and beyond. They are specially prepared by the Czech Centres and the Czech Documentary Institute in English, allowing us to get to know them better. The programme is as follows:
8th March 2021 – Talking About Adultery (2019)
22nd March 2021 – Epidemic of Freedom (2018)
5th April 2021 – Illusion (2018)
19th April 2021 – Mallory (2015)
3rd May 2021 – The Limits of Work (2017)
