For 4th consecutive year, the EcoMobility Conference, the largest annual conference dedicated to ecomobility in Greece, is organized by the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics in association with insider.gr, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, with the participation of key leaders in the area. This year’s edition is organized online.
The goal of this year’s Conference is to create a platform for discussion and exchange of experience and best practices regarding decarbonization of transport, a key component in the pursuit of climate neutrality amongst the EU countries, and the implementation of the “European Green Deal” objectives.
Greece has already taken significant steps to promote ecomobility, aiming at changing the model of transportation for the benefit of public health, quality of life and the environment. The new government bill is not limited to providing incentives but recognizes that ecomobility is an important lever of economic growth with new employment opportunities.
Over the course of the virtual forum, experts of the ecomobility market, representatives from the Greek government, institutions, academia, and the energy industry will have the opportunity to debate about the political and economic paths of the implementation of the Green Deal amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The thematic focus areas of the Conference are the following:
- Energy – Energy Transition and how it contributes to sustainable mobility
- Transport – Electro & Micro-mobility and development of a sustainable transport sector
- Local Government – Financial channels for the implementation of new technologies and innovative actions related to mobility, as well as showcase of best practices implemented in regions of the country,
- Alternative Fuels – Hydrogen & natural gas
The Agenda will be available shortly.
The Conference will be held in Greek but a detailed overview will be available in English after the end of the event.
